INSPECTIONS WE PROVIDE:

Pre-purchase, insurance renewal and refinancing surveys for diesel and outboard motor powered fiberglass and aluminum sail and power vessels to 120-feet.

Pre-purchase inspections typically include:

  •  Structural analysis of hull and decks with percussive testing.
  • Osmotic blistering evaluation.
  • Moisture metering. Infrared temperature readings.
  • Trial run with performance evaluations including full-load rpm engine testing, noise and vibration, generator load-testing, electronics performance, rig tune, stabilizer, steering and trim tab operation.
  • Rigging, sails and canvas evaluation at deck level.
  • Rigging load dispersion and lightning protection systems evaluation.
  • Propane system leak testing.
  • Testing of low and high voltage electrical equipment.
  • Bonding (corrosion prevention) system resistance checks.
  • Air-conditioning and heating system efficiency testing.
  • Evaluation of plumbing equipment and bilge pump operation.
  • Steering system and autopilot operation.
  • Propellers target tested for balance.
  • Shafts supported in struts dial indicated to check for bending.
